Pom Bunsermvicha BIO
Pom Bunsermvicha (b. 1993) is an independent filmmaker based in Bangkok, Thailand. The work of Bunsermvicha blends documentary and fiction to critically explore the intersections of gender, power structures, culture, and tradition. Through a practice that challenges prescribed norms and systems seeking to control and define individual and collective bodies, Bunsermvicha resists and reframes oppressive narratives deeply rooted in patriarchy, capitalism, and colonialism. The films of Bunsermvicha offer a layered and fluid understanding of interconnectedness, opening up possibilities for reimagining alternate, collective futures.
Bunsermvicha’s films have been shown in film festivals, screenings, and exhibitions across Southeast Asia and internationally. The works of Bunsermvicha have also been exhibited and featured at internationally distinguished institutions and have received several awards and special mentions from Thailand, Singapore, India, Spain, Italy, Russia, and the United States. Bunsermvicha is a graduate of Brown University’s Department of Modern Culture and Media and an alum of Berlinale Talents and Locarno Open Doors Lab.
Tara Emad BIO
Tara Emad is an Egyptian actress and model born in Cairo in 1993. She made her acting debut in 2011 in the TV series El Gama’a (The University) directed by Hani Khalifa, before going on to star in major blockbusters and acclaimed TV dramas across the Arab world.
Her early roles alongside Adel Emam in Saheb El Saada and in films by top directors such as Marwan Hamed’s Diamond Dust and Blue Elephant: Dark Whispers, and Peter Mimi’s El-Haram El-Rabe, showcased her versatility and on-screen presence.
Her recent TV work includes Just You , Jodar, and Al Awda. On the big screen, she appeared in Darwish, Siko Siko, and the short Last Nights of Summer, which premiered at the 45th Cairo International Film Festival.
Tara’s upcoming projects include El Gawahergy and The Seven Dogs. She has served as a jury member at Gouna Film Festival and as International Jury at PLURAL+ Youth Video Festival.
Anas Sareen BIO
Anas Sareen is a writer and director. Born in 1992 in Dubai to an Iraqi-Turkish mother and an Indian father, he holds Swiss citizenship. He studied literature and film history at the Universities of Lausanne and Oxford before beginning his career as a screenwriter and director.
Anas is a feature-film programmer for the Berlinale’s Generation section and a regular contributor to the magazine Talking Shorts. His short film The Gods (2025) is currently screening at festivals worldwide after premiering at Locarno. He is now writing his first feature, a vampire story titled Swansong.
