Ashraf Fahmy

 He was a distinguished Egyptian director who studied directing in California, USA. He was known for a bold perspective in his films, which were characterized by suspense and mystery, and tackled controversial issues. He began with the film Al-Qatilah (1971), and directed over 50 works, most notably Hatta Akher El-Omr, Leil W Qudban, and La Tas'alni Man Ana. He left a prominent mark on Egyptian cinema during the seventies and eighties.
