Held as part of the Cairo Industry Days (November 21-26) for the second year in a row, Screen Buzz has announced the selection of nine projects for its TV Script Development Workshop, sponsored by Lagoonie Film Production. Screen Buzz will also present a master class during the events of Cairo Industry Days.

The 4-day TV Script Development Workshop will focus on developing TV projects from the Arab world, giving an opportunity to the participating Arab screenwriters to learn from top Hollywood experts who achieved international success. The workshop will be led by Robin Gurney, Senior Vice President of Original Programming at Showtime Networks, and screenwriter and producer Mark Goffman (The Umbrella Academy (Netflix) and The West Wing (NBC)), along with Creative Producer/Executive/Consultant Karen Tenkhoff (The Motorcycle Diaries and The Horse Whisperer).

Powered by the non-profit AAM, Screen Buzz is an innovative series of creative workshops bringing top Hollywood writers, directors and producers to the Arab world to support local storytellers in the creation of original, purpose driven content for global audiences. The workshops provide access to leading Hollywood experts to help build the capacity of the most promising Arab writers, directors and producers in the entertainment industry.

Screen Buzz gives the opportunity to Arab talents with the best meaningful TV projects in their script development phase to develop their projects and learn from top Hollywood experts.

Cairo Industry Days is the industry platform of the Cairo International Film Festival that first launched during the 40th edition of the festival in partnership with the Arab Cinema Center (ACC). Cairo Industry Days provides an important space for discussions, networking, meetings, workshops, masterclasses and partnership opportunities between Arab talents and regional and international key industry professionals to further support Arab Cinema.
