About the Director

 Iranian Geneva-based director Hosein Jalilvand researches cinema and imperialism as twin forces born in the 19th century, creating films tracing their evolution. In 2016, he joined DocNomads. His short Song of the Bell (2018) won Best Director at DocLisboa.
