Synopsis
Sinan is passionate about literature and has always wanted to be a writer. Returning to the village where he was born, he pours his heart and soul into scraping together the money he needs to be published, but his father’s debts catch up with him.

About the Director
He is regarded as one of the most prominent contemporary directors in world cinema. Ceylan has been honored with multiple awards at the Cannes Film Festival across several editions. His film Distant (2003) won both the Grand Prix, while Three Monkeys (2008) earned him the Best Director Award. In 2011, Once Upon a Time in Anatolia received the Grand Prix once again, and his career reached a peak in 2014 when he won the Palme d’Or for his epic film Winter Sleep.
