Synopsis

 The beginning of the new millennium finds Lis, an 11-year-old boy whose father is missing from the Kosovo war, expelled from his home and living with his family in a small apartment. Trying to forget a secret only he knows, Lis joins a French clown trio performing in Kosovo for children. Soon, he learns that no one can escape the truth, and that everyone must face their repressed emotions.

About the Director

 Zgjim Terziqi’s short films have been screened at over 70 festivals, including Cairo IFF, Atlanta FF, Torino FF, Busan ISFF, TIFF, and HollyShorts, winning more than 20 awards. He also co-wrote Samir Karahoda’s Displaced, which competed for the Short Film Palme d’Or at Cannes and won prizes at Sundance and Toronto. His project The Odyssey of Joy was developed through the Berlinale Script Station, Torino Film Lab, Valletta Film Lab, and Budapest Film Forum.
