Synopsis

 Before the 1952 Revolution, journalist Youssef sells his conscience for social and professional gain, betraying his idealistic friend Shawqi. As regimes change, Youssef adapts to survive, but loses his moral core.

About the Director

 He was an iconic Egyptian director, famous for his psychological thriller and mystery films. He began his career as an editor before transitioning to directing in the 1950s. He was known for his masterful visual style and controversial narratives. Among his most timeless films are Al-Less wal Kilab, Shi’ Fi Sadri, and Al-Hob Al-Dae'. His works are considered key examples of the thriller genre in the Arab region.
