Synopsis

 Helmy lives under his father's influence, who chose his wife and forced him to agree. After his father's death, Helmy tries to free himself from this influence and seek the freedom to choose for himself. His first experience is getting involved with Nany, the gentle and helpless young woman. He then meets Fatima, the liberal lawyer who claims to be cultured.

About the Director

 Hussein Kamal is an Egyptian director. He was born in 1934 and studied film directing in Paris until 1965. Upon his return, he started a prolific career as a film director, making famous acclaimed art house films, including “The Impossible”, “The Postman”, and “Adrift on the Nile”. He died in 2003 at the age of 69.
