Synopsis

 Based on Tharwat Abaza’s short story, ‘Bit of Fear’ takes place in a rural Egyptian village. Atris’ reign of terror on the villagers is put to the test when a public act of defiance is carried out by Fu’ada, the object of his affection.

About the Director

 Hussein Kamal is an Egyptian director. He was born in 1934 and studied film directing in Paris until 1965. Upon his return, he started a prolific career as a film director, making famous acclaimed art house films, including “The Impossible”, “The Postman”, and “Adrift on the Nile”. He died in 2003 at the age of 69.
