Synopsis
15-year-old Emma-pregnant after a rape-defies her repressive rural Protestant community to carve a path of self-determination, transforming trauma into a catalyst for emancipation while confronting the moral hypocrisy of the village and the spectre of World War II around her.

About the Director
She was born in La Chaux-de-Fonds, studied directing at HEAD and screenwriting at INSAS. Her shorts Vas-y je t’aime, Bam Tchak, On the Beach, and her 2013 autofiction premiered at Locarno, Bern, Namur, and Cannes. Co-founder of Terrain Vague and a film teacher, Silent Rebellion is her debut feature.
