Synopsis
Sami, a twelve-year-old boy, leads a quiet life in a refugee camp in Palestine, surrounded by his paternal grandmother and his mother. But everything changes the day his precious carrier pigeon flies off and disappears without a trace. Convinced that his beloved bird has returned to its original house in Bethlehem, Sami decides to set off in search of it, driven by a deep conviction and unshakeable determination. Sami embarks on a thrilling journey across the land of Palestine, passing through the iconic cities of Bethlehem, Jerusalem and Haifa. This journey is much more than a simple quest to find his lost pigeon. It's a journey of initiation that brings him face to face with the complex reality of his country, with its ups and downs, its joys and its suffering. The search for the carrier pigeon thus becomes a poignant symbol of the quest for unity and reconciliation among a people and a nation scarred by conflict and hardship. Through this touching story, the viewer is taken on an emotional journey into the heart of Palestinian life, where courage, determination and hope combine to overcome obstacles.
