Synopsis

 The film portrays the life of Mr. Ahmed Abdel Gawad's family during the British occupation and just before the 1919 Revolution. The film explores the character of the patriarch, who deals sternly with his family while leading a nightlife of pleasure. It also depicts his son Fahmy, who joins a secret political organization, and the eldest son Yassin, who follows in his father's footsteps in the pursuit of women.
