About the Director
She is a renowned French filmmaker whose work is often inspired by her personal life. Born in Lyon in 1948 to Russian Jewish immigrants, her parents' divorce became a key theme in films like Entre Nous and For a Woman. After a career in acting, she directed her debut Peppermint Soda (1977), a major success that captured the spirit of a generation.
