Synopsis

Hoping for a miracle to find his missing mother, a young Egyptian Copt goes to the Basilica of Saint-Quentin. There, he explores the existential questions of his faith in the labyrinth of his memories

About the Director

Amir, an Egyptian visual artist and filmmaker based in Paris and Alexandria, studied at Le Fresnoy and the University of Alexandria. His films explore colonial history and religious texts, as well as pre-cinema and media archaeology through sculpture, installation, film, and video, examining memory, power, and interpretation.
