Synopsis
Fernando, a young ballet dancer from Mexico, dreams of international fame and a life in the US. Believing his lover Jennifer, a socialite and philanthropist, will support him, he leaves everything behind and narrowly survives a dangerous border crossing. However, his arrival disrupts Jennifer’s carefully curated world. Determined to protect both their future and the life she has built, she will go to any lengths to maintain control, setting in motion a tense struggle between ambition, desire, and the harsh realities of their new life.

About the Director
He is a celebrated filmmaker who has significantly boosted Mexican cinema's global profile. His latest film, Memory, premiered at Venice 2023, where he previously won the Silver Lion Grand Jury Prize for New Order. His film After Lucia won the Prix Un Certain Regard at Cannes in 2012, and April’s Daughter won the Special Jury Prize there in 2017. Franco is also a producer, notably for the Golden Lion-winning film Desde Allá.
