About the Director
Joseph L. Mankiewicz was a film director, screenwriter, and producer. Mankiewicz had a long career in Hollywood and directed only 20 feature films, one television movie, and one documentary with the great director Sidney Lumet. He is best known for his work as a writer and director on the film "All About Eve" (1950), which was nominated for 14 Academy Awards and won six.
