Bio: A German director, In 1999, his movie NIGHT SHAPES won Best Actor at the Berlinale. In 2002, GRILL POINT won the Silver Bear – Grand Jury Prize at the Berlinale. His film STOPPED ON TRACK was showcased at the Cannes Film Festival and won the main prize in the Un Certain Regard section. In 2022 his latest film, RABIYE KURNAZ VS. GEORGE W. BUSH, won Best Screenplay and Best Leading Performance at the Berlinale.
