American Dream is a feature documentary project following three Egyptian non-professional wrestlers and their coach in a journey to create the show of their lives. For them, making the big event happen is a gamble which may open doors to achieving their distant dreams of becoming superstars to a sport that has no foundation in the country, or may end their careers at a very early stage. The film takes us between following the wrestlers’ steps in their reality of limited resources, and watching them in an imaginary world where their dreams come true.
