Accreditation
The Cairo International Film Festival offers accreditation for various professional and student categories. Please register through the official accreditation portal.
Requirements: In order to apply for accreditation please make sure that your Personal Profile and Contact Information are up to date.
To apply for a press card, you need to register by filling out the press form starting from September 9th To October 10th, 2026. No registration requests received after this date will be considered.
While filling out the form, you must attach a stamped and certified letter from the newspaper or Egyptian media outlet stating the newspaper’s desire to cover the festival through the journalist listed on the form, along with a copy of the journalist’s ID card or passport. The festival allows accredited journalists from their respective media institutions, upon the festival management’s approval, to obtain a press card for a fee of 200 Egyptian pounds, payable in cash at the Cairo International Film Festival headquarters, located at Cairo Opera House . Filling out the form and registering does not imply the festival’s approval of issuing the press card. If your registration is accepted, you will be notified of the approval. Terms of use for the press card: The press badge allows its holder to attend films at the hall allocated for badges' holders during the Cairo International Film Festival. The press card allows its holder to use the press lounge and submit requests for interviews with guests (subject to the availability of each guest’s time). The press card does not grant its holder access to the opening and closing ceremonies. The press card does not grant its holder direct access to cinema halls. The cardholder must obtain a free ticket for the film they wish to watch from the ticket reservation counter.

To apply for a media card (TV channels, radio, YouTube channels, social media, and photojournalism), you need to register by filling out the media form starting from September 9th until October 10th, 2026. No registration requests received after this date will be considered.
While filling out the form, you must attach a stamped and certified letter from the newspaper or Egyptian media outlet stating the media institution's desire to cover the festival through the media representative listed on the form, along with a copy of the representative's ID card or passport.
The festival allows accredited media personnel from their respective institutions, upon the festival management's approval, to obtain a media card for a fee of 400 Egyptian pounds, payable in cash at the Cairo International Film Festival headquarters, located at Cairo Opera House.
Filling out the form and registering does not imply the festival's approval of issuing the media card. If your registration is accepted, you will be notified of the approval.
Terms of use for the media card:
The media card allows its holder to attend seminars, lectures, and public events during the Cairo International Film Festival. It also allows the holder to submit requests for audio or visual interviews with guests (subject to each guest's available time).
The media card allows only photographers to attend the opening and closing ceremonies with prior agreement with the responsible party.
The media card allows its holder to enter cinema halls during film screenings for coverage purposes.
Only the production team and reporters holding a media card are allowed to enter cinema halls after obtaining a free ticket for the film they wish to watch from the ticket counter. Media cardholders are entitled to 4 free tickets per day, with one ticket per screening throughout the festival.
